Oregon SAF

2021 Oregon SAF Annual Meeting

The Blue Mountain Chapter of OSAF invites you to join us for two days of engaging programming, roundtable discussions, and recognition of colleagues. Come be a part of the conversations on May 13-14, 2021, from the comfort of your own home or office.

The annual meeting’s theme, Landscape Restoration: Perspectives, Partnerships, Opportunities, will open with a plenary session on "Climate, Restoration, and Management over Millennia." Speakers Jessica Halofsky, Paul Hessburg, and Frank Lake will discuss climate change, landscape restoration, and current and historic Indigenous use of fire. The day's General Sessions will focus on landscape restoration from the federal, private, and Tribal perspective.

The first day will conclude with an awards ceremony to honor our members and colleagues, followed by a student-led social and networking hour.

Day 2 will open with a panel that features restoration-focused research, followed by a General Session on partnerships involved in landscape restoration. The afternoon session will be devoted to breakout sessions on topics that include "Markets, Wood Products, and Biomass Utilization," "Wildfire, Climate, and Perceptions," and "Prescribed Fire and Smoke Management."

The day will then end with concluding remarks.
